The neighborhood
This neighborhood is characterized by contemporary style homes, many built in the early 1960s (though most of those have had more recent additions). The area is roughly defined by the following streets:
Turning Mill Road
Partridge Road
Demar Road
Jeffrey Terrace
Mountain Road
Grimes Road
Dewey Road
Gould Road
Local transportation
The Lexpress #6 bus is a convenient way to get from our neighborhood to Lexington Center, connecting to other Lexpress routes and to the MBTA bus. There is a route map available. As of October 2007 the bus passes the intersection of Turning Mill and Partridge Rd traveling on Turning Mill Rd. towards Robinson Rd. at approximately 15-20 minutes past the hour (for all runs after 8:00 AM). This appears to be slightly behind schedule, but is fairly consistent.
